The many guises of Jean Hawkins
Jean Hawkins loved the Choir, and she always joined in all the activities with whole hearted enthusiasm. Whether singing a comedy duet with Tony Martin as "Sisters", or dressed as the femme fatale Marlene Dietrich singing "Lili Marlene", Jean loved to get into the part. Here are a few photos from her long and varied singing career with the Choir, including tours to Holland and Italy as well as garden parties fit for the queen!
Jean will be remembered not only for her wonderful strong alto voice and her dedication to the committee as librarian with the thankless task of counting and documenting all our music, but also for her culinary skills and her legendary trifles!
